Pearl Wiona Parker Carman
Pearl Wiona Parker was born at Orafino, Frontier County,
Nebraska, Sept. 25th 1896, growing to womanhood here at Farnam,
where her parents moved 19 years ago.
She was married to Kenneth L. Carman, April 8th, 1921 at
Minden, Nebraska, going on to Lincoln, Nebraska, where her new
home was waiting.
She, with her husband during 1921, united with the Trinity
Methodist Church at Lincoln, and this last Easter with others,
Mr. and Mrs. Carman united with the Methodist Church at their
new home in Syracuse, Nebraska by transfer from Lincoln.
They had made their new home at Syracuse only since February
last, but her pastor said at Syracuse, by her genial ways,
pleasant smile, and kindness had made many friends.
Early last Saturday morning at a few minutes past midnight
she departed this life after but a very short illness.
A very impressive short service was held at the home at
Syracuse on leaving for Farnam.
In this sudden death in the the beginning of life a very
happy home is broken up, a loving companion is left heart broken
and lonely. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Parker, the devoted parents
are (unreadable) on loved. The three brothers and five sisters
will miss Pearl, their beloved sister.
This community where she so well known weep with those who
weep because they too loved her. Funeral services were held
from the M.E. Church, Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. M.S. Satchel
officiated. The remains were laid to rest in the Farnam
cemetery.
