Samuel Ervin Hathaway
Samuel Ervin Hathaway was born in Davis County,
Iowa, May 9, 1859, and departed from this life
September 7, 1921 at the age of 62 years, three
months and 28 days.
While he was quite young, his parents moved to
Missouri, where he grew to manhood.
On September 12, 1888, he was united in marriage
to Miss Viola Mincks of Seymour, Iowa. To this
union was born one child, a daughter.
He moved to Frontier County, Nebraska in 1888
and lived in Frontier County until 1918, when he
moved to Farnam, Nebraska.
He had been a patient sufferer for over five
years before his death.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one
daughter, Eva; two brothers -- John, of Loveland,
Colorado, and George, of Farnam -- and one sister,
Mrs. Lee Hibbs of Bethany, Nebraska, other
relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the residence
Thursday afternoon, September 8, conducted by the
Rev. T. E. Cillet, pastor of the Methodist church.
Interment in Farnam cemetery.
