Eli Heath
Eli Heath was born January 20, 1857 and died December 12, 1918;
61 years, 10 months and eight days.
He was born in Iowa where he spent his boyhood days and was
united in marriage to Miss Clara Hopst in the year of 1885, and
moved to Nebraska where he resided until death. To this union
were born six children, Samuel I.C., Clifford M., Arthur, Ida
M., Leroy, and Bessie, who died in infancy; his sister Mrs.
Richard Johnson of Tryon, Nebraska and one brother Mr. Mathew
Heath of Farnam. They were all present except Arthur who is in
France in response to his country's call.
The funeral was held at the Heath home Friday afternoon,
December 13 at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet,
pastor of the Farnam Methodist Episcopal church. Interment was
in the Farnam cemetery.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
