Mrs. Alta M. Kerr, 68, former Dawson County resident, died April 23, 1965 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Mrs. Kerr was born Aug. 18, 1876 to Thomas and Mary Malinda (Harnsberger) Thompson in Gosper County, Nebr., and had lived in Farnam before moving to Waterloo 28 years ago. She was married to F. Byron Kerr who died in Waterloo in 1957.

Survivors include two sons, Fordyce B. Kerr, Blue Springs. Mo. and Gary A. Kerr, Largo, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Walters and Mrs. Georgia Elder both of Waterloo, Mrs. Catherine Kinnan, Kansas City, Mo. and Mrs. Frances Stear, 614 West Thirteenth, Cozad; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday in the Farnam Methodist Church. Burial was in the Farnam cemetery. The Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad was in charge of arrangements.
