Gottlob C. Koch

Cozad -- Gottlob C. Koch, 88, of Cozad, died October 29, 1994 at the Cozad Community Hospital.

He was born December 10, 1905 near Eustis to Christoph and Caroline Haegele Koch. He moved with this family to Texas in 1909, returning to Nebraska in 1918.

On February 27, 1930, he married Opal White at Eustis. He farmed and trained horses in the Eustis area until 1938 when they moved to Hershey. In 1963, they moved to Cozad.

He had been a resident of Southview Manor Care Center in Cozad since January 1993. He was a member of the American Lutheran church at Cozad.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Otto Koch, and a sister, Marie Rieker.

Survivors include his wife of Cozad; a daughter Kay Kinman of Cozad; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church in Cozad. Burial will be in the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 - 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to the church or the Cozad Rescue Unit.
