Florence Leonora (Salnave) Maurer

Florence Leonora Salnave was born in Cheyenne county, New York, December 13, 1859 and was called to her eternal reward August 28, 1929 at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 15 days.

She was united in marriage to Chris Maurer of Beaver Crossing, Nebr., on December 13, 1877.

After their marriage they moved to Lexington, Nebr., where they resided until 1903 when they moved to a farm north of Farnam, They made their home there until the winter of 1921-22 when they moved to Haxtun, Colorado. and two years later came back to Farnam and have made this their home since that time.

Mrs. Maurer acknowledged Christ as her savior twenty years ago, and united with the Baptist church of Farnam. She has been one of the most consistent Christians of the community, and richly deserves the reward of “The True and Faithful Servant”.

Mrs. Maurer was the mother of eleven children, four of whom have gone before. The living are Oscar of Savanna, Ill., Roy of Chino, Calif., Earl of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Florence Lyons, Mrs. Ella Hilton, Louis and Lila of Farnam.

She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, seven children, eleven grandchildren, two sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist church at 2:30, Friday afternoon with Rev. W.W. Crabtree in charge.

Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.

	Jesus, while our hearts are bleeding
	O’er the spoils that death has won,
	May we at this solemn meeting
	Calmly say, Thy will be done.
