Edna Dorthea ‘Vang’ Mowrey
Edna Dorthea Mowrey, 86, of Loveland, Colo., died April 22,
2002, at a nursing home in Denver.
She was born March 20, 1916 to Carl and Sena Vang in Maxwell.
On March 25, 1937, she married Leo S. Mowrey in Elwood. They
farmed in Nebraska until moving to Loveland in 1959. She was a
homemaker and devoted mother who enjoyed gardening, baking and
sewing.
Survivors include five children, Joann Warrington of Denver,
Lynn (Terry) Mowrey of Englewood, Colo., Rex (Doreen) Mowrey of
Littleton, Colo., Bruce (Elaine) Mowrey of Elizabeth, Colo., and
Peggy (Greg) Bell of Loveland; a sister June Stackhouse of North
Platte; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, a sister, Helen (Rollin) Hill of Curtis and a
brother, Glenn Vang of Seattle, preceded her in death.
The body was cremated with inurnment at Loveland Lakeside Burial
Park, Loveland, CO.
