Mrs. Ellen E. Neighbarger Murray was born December 24, 1854, near Bloomington, Ill., and departed this earthly life July 15, 1925. Aged 67 years, 6 months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to Jerhemiah Murray November 1, 1875 in Lincoln County, Kans. To this union six children were born. Five sons and one daughter, four of who survive her. They are: C. W. Murray, Ingham, Mrs. J. N. Smith of Palisade, W.A. and M. J. Murray of Farnam. Two sons having died in early years and her husband preceeded her in death seven years ago.

Mrs. Murray, with her husband settled in Farnam precinct, Nebr. April 30, 1893, where she resided until her demise on July 15.

Besides her three sons and one daughter she leaves to mourn her death, three sisters, one brother and a host of friends and neighbors.

In losing Mrs. Murray the neighborhood has lost an old and faithful resident who has been true to the trust and responsibility of the making and settling of her chosen community. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Congregational church, Rev. J. E. Craig officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Farnam cemetery.
