Charles Gene Nickerson
Charles Gene Nickerson was born at Cambridge, Nebraska, June
14, 1928, and departed this life at Cozad, Nebraska, August 25,
1955, at the age of 27 years, 2 months, and 11 days.
He lived all his life in and near the Farnam community.
He was the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Milo
Nickerson. On March 18, 1951, he was united in marriage to
Deloras Cross at Moorefield, Nebraska. To this union, three
children were born: Candice, Yolanda, and Jackelyn.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and three children;
four sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Sheffield of Farnam, Mrs. Lyle
Anderson of Brady, Mrs. Gordon Cross of Moorefield, Mrs. Johnny
Yakich of Denver; and three brothers, Donald of Farnam, Harold
and Delmar of Cambridge; his grandmother, Mrs. Stella Kilburn of
Azusa, California, and other relatives and friends.
He was a most loving husband and father. He had a cheerful
and happy disposition and will be missed greatly by all who knew
him and loved him.
Funeral services were held August 28 at the Methodist Church
in Farnam with Elder V.E. Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial was in
the Farnam cemetery.
