Bert H. Baker Dies
Bert H. Baker was born on March the 2nd, 1891, in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and died August 18, 1953, in a Gothenburg hospital.
On the 18th of October, 1911, he was united in marriage with Myrtle Preston at Farnam. To this union were born two sons, Lawrence and Ray.
He is survived by 2 sons, 2 brothers, Clifford and Harry of Farnam; 5 sisters, Mrs. Mae Litchenburg of Gothenburg, Mrs. Bessie Gardner of Jerome, Mrs. Dora Whitney of Cozad, Mrs. Viola Burchell of Minden, and Daisy Beye of Melbournce, Iowa; two sons, Lawrence of Farnam and Ray of Columbus, Nebraska, and six grandchildren.
He came to this country in 1887 and was a member of the Baptist church.
Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Baker, and brother Fred.
Funeral services were held Friday from the Olesen Funeral Home to the Farnam Baptist church, with Rev. Earl Brock and Rev. Carl J. Se?quist officiating. Singing was by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sukraw, with Mrs. Jay Rice at the piano. Pallbearers were John Rowland, Hugo Blomquist, Claude Clement, Morris Wyckoff, Lee Hudson and M. Enevoldsen.
