Tom Caster Passed
Away at 96

Tom Caster, 96, passed away Tuesday in Gothenburg. Mr. Caster lived in the Farnam community most of his life, until the past few years he spent in a Rest Home in Gothenburg.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. in the Farnam Methodist church. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.

McVay-Olesen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary
Thomas J. Caster

Thomas Jefferson Caster was born October 7, 1865 at Napoleon, Indiana, coming to Nebraska at the age of 17 and living here until his death.

He was united in marriage to Ida May Rank in 1898. She proceeds him in death, also one daughter, Mrs. Myra Phillips. To this union 6 children were born. Mrs. Meroa Knisley of Lincoln, Tommy N. Caster of Farnam, Mrs. Ada Anthony of Chadron, Boyd Caster of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Leon Caster of Wichita Falls, Texas. Also 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, one sister, Lizzie Ashworth of Rocky Ford, Colo.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 1, in the Farnam Methodist Church, with Rev. Harold O. Massie officiating. Mrs. Audrey Kotschwar and Mrs. Delores Nickerson sange, accompanied by Mrs. Raymond Smith. Pallbearers were Charlie Davis, Ralph Parker, Ralph Clement, O. L. Hudson, Russell Wilcox and Frank Preston.

Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
