Billie L. Darnall

Billie L. Darnall of Farnam, 56, died August 25, 1994, at Kearney. Mr. Darnall was branch manager of Farmland Coop Elevator.

Born February 22, 1938, at Eustis to Wilber and Emma Klein Darnall, he was a 1956 graduate of Eustis High School. He served in the U.S. Army and received his discharge in 1963.

He married Norma Hovie on April 19, 1964. They lived at Indianola and Coldwater, Kansas, before moving to Eustis. In 1978 they moved to Farnam.

While at Eustis, he was manager of a grain elevator.

Mr. Darnall was a member of American Legion Post 288 and the United Methodist Church, both at Farnam.

Survivors include his wife, Norma of Farnam; a son, Steven (Kimberly) of Kearney; two daughters, Christine (Paul) Wirthele of Lincoln and Tonya (Todd) Dishman of Haxtun, CO; three brothers, Dale of Eustis, Clark of Glasco, KS, and Glen of Farnam; a sister, Bonnie Casper of Lexington; his step-mother, Irene Darnall of Lexington and four grandchildren, Terri and Kara Dishman and Shane and Erin Darnall.

Preceding him in death were a twin daughter, Catherine Ann; a brother, Ervin and his parents.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 1994, at the United Methodist Church, Eustis, with the Rev. Mark L. Schutt officiating. Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery with military honors graveside.

A memorial has been established.

Berryman Funeral Home in Eustis was in charge of arrangements.
