Obituary

Glenn Vincent Donelson was born in Dawson County, Nov. 14th, 1900. He died in Farnam, Nebraska, March 25th, 1915. Age 14 years, 4 months and 11 days. He united with the Methodist Episcopal Church Feb. 19th, 1911 and until the time of his death he was faithful both to the Sunday School and the Church. He loved the songs that he had learned in the Sunday School and during his prolonged illness they were a comfort and joy to him.

He leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his untimely decease.

There is no death! The stars go down
To rise upon some fairer shore
And bright in heaven's jeweled crown
They shine forever more.

There is no death! An angel form
Walks o'er the earth with silent tread;
He bears our best loved things away
And then we call them "dead".

He leaves our hearts all desolate
He plucks our fairest, sweetest flowers;
Transplanted into bliss, they now
Adorn immortal bowers.

-- Lytton

Those from a distance attending the funeral services were Mr. Fred Swanson, Grandfather, and Mr. Herman Swanson, an uncle, both of Lincoln, Nebraska. The funeral services were held in the Methodist church on Saturday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. G. C. Albin, after which the remains were tenderly laid away in the Farnam cemetery to await the Resurrection Morn.
