Mrs. George Johnson
Sylvia Lorada Brott, daughter of Jerome L. and Willie Anna Brott, was born in Eustis, Nebraska, September 19, 1885, and passed away December 3, 1957, at the home of her daughter in Worland, Wyoming.
She was united in marriage to George F. Johnson, January 3, 1901 at Stockville, Nebraska. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary January 3, 1951.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, George F. Johnson, five sons: Francis of Rio Linda, California, Marion of Farnam, Walter of Noxon, Montana, Lewis of Roxbury, Mass., George B. of Monte Vista, Colorado, and four daughters: Maude Plourd of McCook, Viola Lehman of Farnam, Edna Clymore of Worland, Wyoming, and Norene Zink of Caldwell, Idaho, one brother, LeRoy Brott of Bremerton, Washington, one sister, Ruth Backoven of Lehigh, Iowa; forty four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. One son, Edward, preceded her in death.
She grew to young womanhood in the Eustis community. After their marriage, they made their home in the Farnam community.
Due to ill health in March, 1947, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson moved to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Harold Lehman, where they have since made their home until recently when it seemed advisable for them to go to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Earl Clymore in Worland, Wyoming, where Mrs. Johnson could be under the care of a registered nurse and doctor’s daily supervision.
She had faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and taught her children reverance for God and His ministers by her example.
Her greatest joy was to be of service to her loved ones and friends.
