Jones

Mary A., widow of the late J. R. Jones, of Farnam, Nebraska, died at her home in that city on Friday, February 8, 1907, aged 69 years, 5 months, 6 days. Deceased whose maiden name was Mary A. Craig, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wms. Craig. Her mother still survives at the ripe old age of almost 90 years and is one of the most highly respected women of Knoxville.

Mrs. Jones (Mary A. Craig) was born in Greenfield, Ohio, September 2, 1837, and came to Knoxville with her parents when only a young girl. In this city, on January 29, 1856, who was united in marriage with J. R. Jones. With the exception of a few years spent in Ohio she was a continuous resident of Marion county up to about 5 years ago, when the family removed to Farnam, Neb. Mr. Jones died at that place about two years ago.

When a small child, Mrs. Jones was converted and had continued to live the good consistent Christian life down to the time of her death. She leaves, besides the aged mother, 5 children, three sons and two daughters, four sisters and four brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. Of her it can truly be said that God took her to Himself to share in the reward of the faithful. She was a kind and loving daughter a dutiful and affectionate wife and mother and one whose sweet disposition and unselfish thoughtfulness will remain radiant in the memories of the surviving brothers and sisters.
