James Otto Martin
James Otto Martin was born in Fillmore County near Shickley, Nebraska December 3, 1873, later moved to Frontier County near Farnam. He passed away at the age of 82 years 6 months and 3 days at Kearney, Nebraska.
He was united in marriage to Lulu Opal Rector in 1903, and to this union was born seven sons and one daughter, Harold, Charles, Delphin, Vivian, Earl, Francis, Fred, Willis, of the children three preceeded him in death, Charles, Earl and Vivian, also his wife Lulu.
In 1908 he moved to Hyannis, Nebraska and lived there until 1917 at this time returned to Farnam and resided there or near there until his death. He was united in marriage to Lena Adam in 1922, she also preceeded him in death in July 1950.
Services were held Monday morning June 11 at the Farnam Methodist Church with Rev. B. H. Hart officiating. Interment was in Farnam Cemetery. The McVay Funeral home was in charge.
