Killed in Accident

A tragic farm accident about 11 o’clock last Thursday morning claimed the life later that day of Gene Nickerson, 27, who resided near Moorefield.

He had assisted with unloading a truck load of oats at the farm home of his father–in–law, Fred Cross, west of town, and in some manner Nickerson was caught between the truck and granary.

He was injured in the back, which was not considered serious but a doctor was called and he was taken to the Cozad hospital where he passed away about 4 o’clock.

He is survived by his wife and three small daughters.

Funeral services were held in the Farnam Methodist church Sunday afternoon and burial was held in the Farnam cemetery.
