Obituary Collection
Emphord William Peterson

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Peterson occurred a peculiar incident the first of the week. Sunday night a bright baby appeared at their home to make happy the hearts of the parents.

Dr. Charlton was the attending physician. Everything was all right and when he came home Monday morning he felt as if he had left the family in the happiest of states. No sooner had he arrived home when a message by telephone was received to come to the home of Mr. Grant at once as a child had drowned in a tank.

He went out there in haste and found that it was a child twenty months old of the Peterson family. Mrs. Grant had taken the two oldest Peterson children home with her that morning as an accommodation to the family and somehow before it could be noticed the child had drowned by falling into the tank which was banked into the side of a draw.

Surely this was a heavy blow to the Peterson family. To think of them just a few hours before, rejoicing over the arrival of their bright baby, must in such a short time see the departure of such a bright boy as this little fellow was from the family circle. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon.
