Obituary Collection
Mildred Widick

Mildred Widick, 70, of Farnam, died Sunday at the Gothenburg hospital. She was born June 5, 1917, near Farnam to Frank and Lottie Gamill Devine.

She was married to M.C. (Bill) Widick on June 1, 1936, in North Platte. She was a member of the HOP Extension Club in Farnam and the Eagles Auxiliary of North Platte. She attended the United Methodist Church at Farnam.

Survivors include her husband M.C. (Bill); three sons and their wives, Ralph and Madie of Farnam; Bruce and Marsha of Malcolm; Frank and Cheryl of Moorefield; one brother Herald Devine of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Leila (Mrs. Roland) Gruber of Gothenburg; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Widick was preceded in death by two sons, Gene, who was killed in Vietnam, and Kent; and one sister, Eva. A memorial has been established to the Nebraska Boys Ranch of Alliance or the donor’s choice.

Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church at Farnam with the Rev. Charles Leypoldt officiating. Burial will be at the Farnam Cemetery.
