Bert James Brown, 84, of 701 South Griffith, died this morning in a local hospital.

He was born April 23, 1874 at Union County, Iowa, and had been a resident of North Platte since 1910.

Survivors include three sons, Clare of Phoenix, Floyd of Gering and Ernest in the Army stationed in Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Kuproth and Mrs. Faye Carsner, both of Kelso, Wash.

Arrangements are pending at the Maloney Cox and Kuhns Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Bert Brown, who died Wednesday, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Maloney Cox and Kuhns Funeral Home with the Rev. George Mulligan, pastor of the Four Square Gospel Church, officiating.

Interment will be in the Farnam cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the time of services.
