Harold Gaylord Crawford

Harold Gaylord Crawford, brother of Wanda Rosentrater of Arnold, died Nov. 7, 1998, in Omaha. He was 73.

He was born March 13, 1925, at Farnam to Floyd and Dorothy Brittenham Crawford. He graduated from Maxwell High School in 1943.

He entered the Army Air Force in 1943 and served as a teletype operator in England. He was discharged in 1945. Upon returning home, he attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska.

On April 12, 1952, he married Donna Savard of Grand Marais, Minn.

Mr. Crawford was an architect in civil engineering at Strategic Air Command headquarters for more than 30 years. Following his retirement, he became the assistant manager of the Bellevue Senior Center.

Surviving him is his wife; two daughters, Barbara (Douglas) Barth of Utica and Ann (Scott) Keefer of Kearney; a sister, Wanda Rosentrater of Arnold; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Eric and Kelsey Barth and Andrew and Joel Keefer; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Lehman of Edward, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Omaha.

Inurement will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.
