Donnie Kay Farr

FARNAM - Donnie Kay Farr, 32, died June 19, 2003, as a result of a farm accident in Frontier County.

She was born July 15, 1970, to Timothy and Mary F. Lindsay Axthelm in Gothenburg. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1988. She received her practical nursing degree from Mid-Plains Community College and worked for a short time at Sunset Haven in Curtis.

On May 27, 1989, she married Fred Farr at North Platte. The couple farmed and ranched near Stockville and Farnam.

Mrs. Farr was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Curtis, Altar Society, and she was a CCD teacher, a 4-H leader and a member of the Frontier County extension board.

Surviving her is her husband; three sons, Shane Andrew, Christopher Fred and Rodger Bruce, all at home; her parents of North Platte; two brothers, Jason (Sharon) of Brady and Bradley (Sarah) of North Platte; grandparents, Cecil and Doris Axthelm of North Platte; and a special cousin, Jenny (Steve) Skupa of Campbell.

Her maternal grandparents, John and Opal Lindsay, preceded her in death.

Memorials are suggested to the family for an educational fund for the boys.

Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the church in Curtis with the Rev. F. Boehme officiating. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Arbor Cemetery at Stockville.

Visitation will be from noon to 3:30 p.m. today at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the church in Curtis and until 1 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary in Cambridge.
