Village Loses Oldest Citizen
A. LaBounty Called at 92

Albert LaBounty, the village of Farnam’s oldest resident, passed away Friday morning at the age of 92 years. He had been in ill health for the last few months, which made him unable to make his daily trips to the post office.

Up to Mr. LaBounty’s illness, he spent an active life in the community, and was a member of the Farnam Lions Club. He loved to fish and garden, which he spaded annually a full lot by hand.

He was for many years a business man in Farnam. He owned the first telephone company in Farnam and also operated a hardware store, which he sold to Dale Montgomery on his retirement.

He was a kind and considerate friend and neighbor and shall be remembered by all who knew him.
