Clarke W. Pollard

Clarke Walter Pollard, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Pollard of Boulder, Colo., died very suddenly last Saturday evening at a hospital to which he was removed after being stricken at his home in Denver.

He was 32 and a salesman for the Perle-Friedland Printing Co. His father is a popular member of the staff of Montgomery Ward in Boulder.

Born at Farnam, Neb., Oct. 1, 1922, he received his education in the public schools of that city, and following his graduation from high school enrolled in and completed a course in business training. He came to Boulder in 1941 with his parents and a brother, Donald Lee Pollard, and at that time transferred his membership to the First Methodist church from the church in Farnam which he had joined at the age of 12. While living in Denver he had taken a very active part in the Grace Methodist church. He was also active in Greenleaf Lodge No. 169, A. F. and A. M. of Denver.

On May 11, 1945, he was married to Evelyn Core, at St. Francis, Kansas. They made their home in Boulder for two years prior to moving to Denver.

Besides his wife, parents and brother, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Lee, 9, and Linda Sue, 8. Robert H. Pollard of Boulder is an uncle. The brother, an honor graduate of Colorado University, is now in Phoenix, Arizona.

Funeral services were held last Tuesday afternoon in Mountain View Memorial Park. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Austin, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Austin and Mrs. Ernest Peterson of Gothenburg attended the funeral services.
