Goldie Fern Schultz was born on May 20, 1891. She was the daughter of Wm. and Alice Cooley. She departed this life at West Valley Community Hospital, Encino, California on Jue 17, 1961 at the age of 70 years and 28 days.

During the early years of her life she lived with her parents in a sod house southwest of Lexington, Nebraska and in 1903 moved to Eustis where she received her education. She and her friend Blanche Kiesel were in the first graduation class of the Eustis school in the year 1910. She later taught school for several years.

On September 17, 1913 she was united in marriage to Mr. Carl Schultz. Eleven children were born to this union. Mr. Schultz, a daughter — Helen Lindstedt, and a son — Robert Schultz, and three grandchildren preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Schultz spent their entire married life in Dawson county, Nebraska. They farmed 10 years in the valley, 8 years northeast of Eustis, and 13 years east of Farnam. Mrs. Schultz and her children moved to Gothenburg in the fall of 1948. About five years ago she moved to Van Nuys, California.

Mrs. Schultz was a charter member of the Evangelical Church in Eustis, Nebraska and later attended the churches of her children. By listening to the truths of God’s Word she learned to know Christ as her Savior and saving faith was created in her heart.
