Dessa Maye Warner, 88 of North Platte died Nov. 27, 1995, at Linden Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 18, 1907 at Farnam to Ernest F. and Cora Belle Cloyd Hulen. She was raised on a ranch north of Moorefield in Snell Canyon. She married Clay F. Warner October 19, 1925 at North Platte. They spent most of their life together in the Moorefield area. They operated the telephone office in their home in Moorefield for several years.

Dessa had great love for her family, she also had the gift as a care taker to those in need. In her younger years she loved to do fancy work and won several prizes with her crochet work.

After Mr. Warner’s death in 1962, she moved to Gering to be near her family. In 1993 she moved to North Platte.

Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn (Dale) Berry of Gering; a son Leland “Bud” (Illa) of North Platte; half sister, Geraldine Cain of Tuscon, Ariz; six grand-children, three step grand-children and nine step great-grandchilren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant sister, a brother; a granddaughter and a step great-grandson.

A memorial ha sbeen established to Linden Manor.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Dr. Charles Bonds of Gering officiating. Graveside services will be at the Moorefield Cemetery.

Visiting will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge.
