Obituary of
Albert Charles Hecox

Albert Charles Hecox, son of Fred and Minnie Graves Hecox, was born on May 22, 1887, on his home place near Gothenburg, Nebraska, and passed from this life on April 18, 1955, at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital, at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 27 days. He lived all of his life on the same place.

On May 22, 1911, he was united in marriage to Helen Curtis. To this union were born two sons and one daughter. He was a member of the Banner Methodist church for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Gothenburg; two sons, Walter and Robert, both of Gothenburg; one daughter Mrs. Roberrt E. Anderson, of Del Norte, Colorado; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph, of Gothenburg, and Dr. Rex, of Cozad; and one sister, Mrs. Lulu Young, of Gothenburg.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 21, at 2:30 p.m., at the Banner Methodist church, with Rev. Charles A. Moorer officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. John Rosendahl, soloist, who sang “Abide With Me” and “Have Thine Own Way, Lord,” with Mrs. Eugene Hecox organist. Pallbearers were: Billy Cline, Glenn Hyde, Eugene Hecox, Richard Hecox, Arch Trimble and Kenneth Oman. Burial was in the Peckham cemetery, with the Olesen funeral home in charge.
