Obituary Collection
Mrs. Clarence Warren

Ida Mae Parker was born at Claypool, Indiana, October 14, 1879 and died at her home in Cambridge, Nebraska, February 23, 1934, age 54 years, 4 months and 8 days.

She was married to Clarence H. Warren, August 8, 1895. To this union were born five children, Ernest, Herschel, Thurlou, Mary and Bernice.

They moved from Indiana to Frontier county, Nebraska in 1909 where they resided until they moved to Cambridge in 1923.

She was converted at the age of fourteen years and joined the United brethren church and was a faithful member and Sunday school teacher. Upon coming to Nebraska she united with the Orafino Evangelical church, later transferring her membership to the Cambridge Evangelical church. She was a very devoted Christian and was always faithful to her duties of the church. For a number of years she was Sunday school superintendent. At the time of her death she was the teacher of the young people's class steward and class leader. She was also an active worker in the Woman’s Missionary Society and the Ladies Aid. For more than two years she has been the president of the W. C. T. U.

Two sons and a daughter preceded her in death. A little less than three months ago her mother preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her home going her devoted husband, a son, Ernest of Wray, Colorado, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Tumbleson of Cambridge, four grandchildren, seven sisters, two brothers and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Cambridge lost a valuable citizen, one who always had the best interests of the community at heart and tried so hard to point others to a better way of live.

The church has lost one whose advice and counsel was often sought and a place is left vacant that will be hard to fill.

Funeral services were held at the Evangelical church Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. W. C. Cliff officiating, assisted by Rev. M. F. Lempke of the Orafino Evangelical church and Rev. J. G. Shick of the Cambridge Methodist church. Burial was made in the Cambridge cemetery.
