OBITUARY

Harry Lester Knoedler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Knoedler, was born on a farm near Farnam, Nebraska, August 3, 1914, and died in the Good Samaritan hospital at Kearney, Nebr., on January 23, 1930, at the age of 15 years, 5 months and 20 days. Death was due to pneumonia, following and operation for appendicitis on the Monday preceding.

Again the age old question presents itself, why? Harry was a boy of good habits and looked into the future with high hopes and noble ambitions. His mother and brothers and sisters bear this beautiful testimony to his character, that he was an obedient, dutiful, loving son, a considerate, courteous brother, was beloved by all who knew him.

He was interested in the development of his own life and in preparation for life service. He had completed the eighth grade in the country school and was anticipating the continuation of his education in the high school. He was a member of the Evangelical Church of Cozad, having united with that church under the ministry of Rev. B.A. Shively.

His father preceded him in death seven years ago last May, as did also a baby sister in January 1921. He leaves to mourn his loss a loving mother, four brothers, John, Elmer, Roy and Benny, and three sisters, Mrs. Eugene W. Cochran, Viola and Hazel, all of Cozad vicinity besides a host of relatives and friends.
