Mr. Wilmeth had gone to his work at Silica mines as usual, but due to weather conditions could not work. On his way home he stopped at the Thomsen home and was talking to Mr. Thomsen when death came. He had spoken only a few words when the grim reaper came upon him.

He, with his parents came to Nebr. in 1885 and located on a farm near Stockville. Which community he made his home until he had grown manhood. He was united in marriage to Miss Nettie Earhart on December 29, 1897, and they lived on a farm near Stockville until 1913 when he and his good wife moved onto a farm near Ingham.

To this union 8 children were born, all of whom are still living. They are, Mrs. Ben Robinson, Howard, Jr., Dorothy, Irma, Dale, Paul, Geraldine, and Dwight. Besides his immediate family, he leaves to mourn his departure one brother and three sisters, Frank Wilmeth, Mrs. J. W. Searborough, and Mrs. Bert Fetz all of Lincoln and Mrs. W. G. McMichael of Valley, Nebr. His father and mother, four brothers and one sister have preceeded him to the great beyond.

His sterling quarties, cheerfulness, devotion to his family and activity in the community affairs have made him many friends who deeply mourn his death.
