Mary Tumbleson
Mary Irene Warren was born October 15, 1910 in Farnam, Nebraska
and departed this life December 22, 1984. She was the daughter
of Clarence and Ida Warren and was one of five children. She
attended elementary and high school in Cambridge, Nebraska;
Kearney State Teachers College in Kearney, Nebraska and later
taught for three school terms in Nebraska.
On June 15, 1931, Mary Irene was united in marriage to John
Melvin Tumbleson in Cambridge, Nebraska. To this union three
children were born, Kenneth, Roger and Jack.
In 1943 they moved to Holyoke. Mary was a life long member of
Evangelical United Brethren and Methodist churches. She always
enjoyed the many church activities and held offices in the
various church groups. In March of 1984 she moved to Longmont.
Survivors include her three sons Kenneth, Roger and Jack and
their wives; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren;
half-sister Grace Thompson of East Wenatchee, Washington, and
brother Ernest Warren of Yuma.
Services were held December 27, 1984 at the United Methodist
Church with Rev. Ralph Bullock officiating. Interment was in
Holyoke Memorial Park.
