William Watts an old time resident of Cozad, died at his home in Jonesville, Mich., on last Sunday evening after a long illness from cancer.

Mr. Watts familiarly known as “Bill” will be remembered by many of the old timers as a genial whole souled citizen interested in the upbuilding of the country, by never failing energy and progressive spirit. He had reached the allotted time of three score years and ten, the greater part of which had been spent in urging on his neighbors and friends to do things. It is with sorrow, we chronicle the passing of this spirit.

His wife preceded him several years ago, and he leaves to mourn, a daughter, Mrs. Hugh Ralston, of Farnam, Nebr.
