Robert Leland Welch, 71, of North Platte, died Friday at a Grand Island Hospital.

He was born May 28, 1911 at Moorefield.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred of North Platte; two sons, Douglas of Moorefield and Donald of Alliance; one daughter, Ruth Pedersen of North Platte; two brothers, Del of Lemoyne and Blaine of North Platte; two sisters, Mary Gilbert of Cozad and Nellie Welch of North Platte; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burial service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Moorefield Cemetery.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Berean Fundamental Church in Curtis with the Rev. James McNeil and the Rev. LeRoy Cook officiating.

Wetzel Funeral Home of Curtis is in charge of arrangements.
